5 years ago today, our lives changed forever. That morning I felt the worse deep down explosion in my soul that I could never have imagined. The pain of that morning is always circulating through my veins.

The anxiety is building up inside, this has replaced the joyful anticipation of the holiday season for those of us grieving our lost loved ones. Its 2:30 am a personal bewitching hour of pain and awakening. As I lie in bed trying to go back to sleep my mind races all over the place.

Annika was a beautiful soul we were blessed to have in our lives. Annika was a straight-A student, a musician who played 3 instruments, an actress who was very active in theatrical arts, and although she did not have a competitive bone in her body, she played 3 teams sports: swimming, Nordic Skiing, and Softball.
